Terms of Use and Software License

Effective date: September 28, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your access to and use of SafeDiff.

By using SafeDiff, running a preflight analysis, activating a paid license, or purchasing a SafeDiff license, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use SafeDiff.

2. Operator

SafeDiff is intended primarily for business and professional ecommerce users.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement.

If you use SafeDiff on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so.

3. What SafeDiff does

SafeDiff compares catalogue data supplied by you and identifies differences, anomalies and potential risks.

SafeDiff may identify matters such as:

• unexpected changes;
• pricing anomalies;
• inventory changes;
• blank values;
• SKU conflicts;
• product differences;
• variant differences; and
• other catalogue-data changes.

SafeDiff also lets you correct flagged values yourself and generate a revised CSV containing your uploaded proposed file plus the corrections you made.

SafeDiff does not perform the Shopify import for you and does not modify your Shopify store.

SafeDiff does not control Shopify or third-party applications.

4. No Shopify affiliation

SafeDiff is an independent product.

SafeDiff is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, certified by, or endorsed by Shopify Inc.

"Shopify" and related names and marks belong to their respective owners.

References to Shopify are descriptive references to compatibility or intended workflow.

5. Your data and authority

You retain ownership of data and files you use with SafeDiff.

You represent that you have the legal right and authorization to use and analyse those files.

You must not use SafeDiff with data obtained unlawfully or without appropriate authorization.

You should not use SafeDiff to process highly sensitive personal information, payment-card data, passwords, customer databases, health information or government identifiers.

6. Local processing

SafeDiff is designed so ordinary catalogue CSV analysis occurs locally in your browser.

You acknowledge that browser-based processing depends on your device, browser, memory and other local technical conditions.

7. Free access

SafeDiff may provide limited free functionality.

Free functionality, usage limits and availability may change as the product develops.

Circumventing technical limitations or license controls is prohibited.

8. Paid licenses

Paid SafeDiff plans may include Pro — Launch Edition and Agency — Launch Edition.

A paid license gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the applicable SafeDiff features subject to these Terms.

A Pro license is intended for use by the purchaser.

An Agency license may be used by the purchaser in connection with work performed for multiple client stores, but does not permit resale, sublicensing, redistribution or making SafeDiff itself available as your own competing service.

A one-time Launch Edition purchase does not promise perpetual hosting, perpetual development, perpetual support, or access to every future product, major edition or separately priced service.

Future major products or editions may be offered separately.

9. Payments

Where checkout is provided through Lemon Squeezy or another Merchant of Record, the customer purchases through that Merchant of Record subject to its buyer terms and payment rules.

The Merchant of Record may handle:

• payment processing;
• applicable transaction taxes;
• order confirmation;
• payment disputes;
• chargebacks; and
• refunds required or permitted through its system.

SafeDiff does not provide a separate voluntary contractual refund guarantee.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any refund, withdrawal, cancellation or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

Where a refund or reversal is required or approved through the applicable payment provider, it will be processed through that provider.

If SafeDiff later accepts direct payments outside the Merchant-of-Record structure, these Terms and applicable checkout disclosures must be updated before that payment method is offered.

10. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use SafeDiff for unlawful activity;
• analyse data you are not authorized to use;
• attempt to access another user's information;
• introduce malware or malicious code;
• interfere with SafeDiff's operation;
• probe or exploit security vulnerabilities without authorization;
• circumvent license restrictions or usage controls;
• reverse engineer SafeDiff except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• copy or redistribute SafeDiff's proprietary interface or software;
• use SafeDiff to create a competing hosted copy of SafeDiff; or
• use SafeDiff in a way that infringes another person's intellectual-property or privacy rights.

11. Backups are your responsibility

SafeDiff is a preflight analysis tool, not a backup service.

Before making bulk changes to an ecommerce store, you should maintain an independent and current backup of relevant data.

Do not rely on a SafeDiff report as your only recovery mechanism.

A revised CSV generated in Fix Mode contains your uploaded proposed file plus the edits you made. SafeDiff does not change other values, but you are responsible for reviewing a revised file before importing it.

12. Analysis limitations

SafeDiff attempts to identify meaningful differences and risk patterns.

It does not guarantee that:

• every issue will be detected;
• every warning represents an actual error;
• Shopify will interpret a file exactly as predicted;
• third-party Shopify applications will react in a particular way;
• an import will succeed; or
• an import will be free from data loss or side effects.

Risk scores are deterministic heuristics intended to help prioritize review.

They are not probabilities, certifications or guarantees.

You remain responsible for deciding whether to perform an import.

13. Changes to external platforms

Shopify, browsers, file formats and other third-party systems may change without notice to SafeDiff.

Such changes may temporarily reduce accuracy, compatibility or availability until SafeDiff is updated.

14. Intellectual property

Except for your data and third-party materials, SafeDiff, including its software, interface, branding, design, documentation and original content, is owned by or licensed to the SafeDiff operator and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

No ownership rights are transferred to you.

You may use SafeDiff only under the license granted by these Terms.

15. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide feature suggestions or other feedback about SafeDiff, you permit us to use that feedback to improve or develop SafeDiff without payment or obligation to you.

You retain ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property contained in your feedback.

16. Service availability

SafeDiff may be changed, updated, interrupted or temporarily unavailable.

We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may modify or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for security, legal, technical or commercial reasons.

Where practical, material changes affecting paid users will be communicated reasonably.

17. Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SafeDiff is provided on an "as available" basis without warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms.

We do not warrant that SafeDiff will identify every catalogue error or prevent every unwanted import outcome.

Nothing in this section removes warranties or protections that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeDiff and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, including loss of profits, sales, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity or data arising from use of SafeDiff.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, aggregate liability arising from a paid SafeDiff license will not exceed the amount you paid for the SafeDiff license giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply where applicable law prohibits such exclusion or limitation, including liability that legally cannot be excluded.

19. Your responsibility for unauthorized use

You are responsible for losses, claims or disputes arising from data you knowingly use without proper authorization or from your unlawful misuse of SafeDiff.

Nothing in this section requires you to indemnify SafeDiff for matters caused by SafeDiff where applicable law does not permit that allocation of responsibility.

20. Suspension and termination

SafeDiff may suspend or terminate access where there is reasonable evidence of:

• fraud;
• unlawful use;
• serious security abuse;
• license circumvention; or
• material breach of these Terms.

Termination does not remove rights or obligations that by their nature should survive termination.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, except to the extent mandatory laws in your jurisdiction apply regardless of this choice.

Where legally permitted, disputes relating to these Terms will be subject to the competent courts in Haryana, India.

This provision does not remove any right to bring a claim in another forum where applicable mandatory law gives you that right.

22. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally possible.

23. Changes

These Terms may be updated when SafeDiff changes or legal requirements change.

Material changes will apply prospectively where required by law.

The current effective date will always appear at the top of this document.
